ADMIRAL RADIO at the Depot... Saturday, November 16, 2019

Cody Hoover and  Becca Smith... native South Carolinians both grew up in musical homes and attended College of Charleston. This duo has created a timeless style and classic sound. In an age where adding mechanized bells & whistles, auto-tuning, and the like are the norm, Admiral Radio opts for a more natural feel by getting back to the basics of good songwriting and music with heart. Their favorite venues are the quiet coffee houses and intimate spaces where listeners do what they do best... listen. It sounds like they were meant to play The Depot at a SxSE Music Feast!

Inspired by the prior life of their 1941 wooden radio, Admiral Radio has sweeping harmonies, often compared to those of the Everly Brothers. This pair of songbirds area making waves in the Carolina music community as their "Johnny & June" charm continues to turn heads.

Opening the evening will be the popular local duo, the Yale Brothers. They cut their teeth on Rock 'n Roll growing up in Hollywood where they played the Sunset Strip with their band, Rogue Alley. Now longtime Myrtle Beach residents, Roger was a founding member of classic rock cover band, Sick Stooges. Chris did a long run with his band, Medicine Hat.

Advance admission is $20; day of show is $25.
