South by Southeast is very pleased to welcome Darrell Scott, acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist to the historic Myrtle Beach Train Depot to open our fall concert schedule.

A masterful storyteller with deep roots in country, bluegrass, folk, & Americans. Scott delivers powerful performances where his expressive voice, heartfelt songwriting, and exceptional musicianship take center stage.

He’s shared the stage & studio with Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Jon Baez, Tim O’Brien, Sam Bush, Robert Flant, the Zac Brown Band, and others.

Marty Richardson, AKA “The Godfather of Dueling Pianos”, was one of the original duelers at Crocodile Rocks in Myrtle Beach and at Savannah Smiles in Georgia. Marty will open the evening’s show at 5:30 with a fun set of tunes and stories.

 

The main show featuring Darrell Scott act will begin at 7:00. Wine & cold beer from New South Brewing, tasty morsels from the food truck and performer merchandise & CD’s will be available for purchase.

UPDATED DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INFORMATION.
The City of Myrtle Beach is expanding the Arts District and has closed some of the streets near the Train Depot. We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. From Hwy 17 or from R. Grissom Parkway, turn onto Mr. Joe White Avenue (10th Avenue North). Continue and turn right onto Lumber Street. Continue to the Yield Sign. You can bear left traveling the road beside the RR Tracks to the Depot or continue past the yield sign and turn left onto 8th Avenue North. Continue on 8th Avenue and turn into the parking lot behind Starr Music (beside the Depot) Thanks for supporting South by Southeast and local school music education.
